WHO AM I (CLIFF NOTES)?

My name is Katie Carlson, and I am: 

Love, Courage, Guided, Light, and I am FUN! 

I’m a midwest gal originally from Kansas City (KC from KC). After embracing the city life of Chicago for 3 years, I moved from the city by the lake to the city by the mountains (Denver).  Kansas City will always be home to me, and I am a die hard Chiefs and Royals fan. Oh, and there is no way in the history of the universe I will every become a donkey fan (kidding, not kidding). 

I am a lover of nature, going on hikes, hot sauce, pairing wine with food (especially popcorn - try it), staying active, creating healthy meals out of no-so-healthy dishes.  I love spending time with my two handsome nephews (they captured my heart), family, cuddling up with my puggle (Oscar), traveling with my TR family, and exploring my new city, while embracing the beautiful chaos  of life, AND having fun!

WHY I AM I HERE?

After fully surrendering to what I now know as “the dark night of the soul,” I've been on a soul journey for the last five years, peeling back the layers to understand, my WHO, and my TRUTH. Caught up in the whirlwind of life, I found my sails shifting from what I thought I wanted, to what I truly wanted. 

A life with purpose.

A life with intention.

A life with an abundance of FUN. 

Thanks to coaching, therapy, meditation, prayer, journaling, doing the work, shedding the layers (and friends), late nights into early mornings, and many bottles of wine, I knew, deep down, there was more to life than meeting quota, frequent flier miles, and living my social life through the filters of Instagram and Facebook.  Now, don't get me wrong I love a good Instagram or Facebook scroll as much as the next, but I was ready to do something more with my life. Coaching has changed the game in my life, and if I can pay it forward and help support others on their journey - well, I can't think of a better reason to jump in!
