Where do I get all this energy?

Fortunately, I’ve always had a lot of energy. When I was little, I was nicknamed 

the “Energizer bunny.” 

AND…

I do some very strategic things to keep my body, mind and spirit in check. 

BODY

After many years of not loving my body, I had some work to do to get back to Health as I knew it. 

Staying active is a must for me. Not only to keep my body flexible and moving and creating the energy to sustain my day, but also because I’d get SUPER bored without exercise. Exercise can be FUN! Yes, I said FUN.  I love doing High Interval Training at OrangeTheory Fitness here in Denver Colorado. Three (3) things I know when I’m about to embark on an hour of OTF:

  1. I’m going to get my boo-tay kicked for 60 straight minutes, so I can leave it all in the room. (Typically burn around 600 calories).

  2. I’m energized for the day and I’m going to sleep like a champion that night.

  3. It’s going to be FUN -  I love all my people at OTF Lo/Do Denver!

Physiology is everything. If you know of Tony Robbins or have been to any of his events, you know how important physiology is in our ability to keep our energy up and live in a beautiful state.

“It matters what  you put into your mouth!”

What you put in your pie hole matters, and we all have different body types so what feeds me, may reek havoc on you (and vise versa).  Although, there are some key foods/sources that I believe to be universal; Healthy fats (Especially Omega 3’s), a healthy portion of Polyphenols, and WATER, WATER, WATER. We should all be drinking at least half our body weight in water a day. I get up every morning and get the first 24-36 ounces out of the way right out of the gate = game changer!

I Love herbs, and herbs love me!

For the better part of a year, I’ve incorporated many different types of herbs into my daily supplement routine and diet. Herbs that are rich in giving me the nutrients as well as adapt to what my body needs - enter Adaptogenic Herbs.  What is an adaptogenic herb? It’s an herb that actually adapts to what your body needs based on the environment in which it is consumed, ingested or digested. For instance,  I take Vital every.single.day. It helps me alkaline, detoxify, and gives me a nice energy and mood balancing effect. Someone else takes Vital because it helps them go #2 (yes, this is someone VERY close to me, and will remain nameless ;)!

Oh, and don’t forget about my celery juicing & juicing in general! I love my Breville Juicer, and it’s gotten quite the workout over the last several months of celery juicing every morning! 

THE BEAUTIFUL MIND

WHAT I DO:

  • Morning Routine

    • Smile first thing out of bed

    • Quick Gratitude Practice as I chug @ least 16-24 oz of water

    • Journal (10 min)

    • Feed Oscar (1 min)

    • Walk Oscar (10 min)

    • Dance Party (5 min)

    • Meditate (10-60 minutes) *depending on the day etc.

  • Set alarms/reminders throughout the day:

    • Drink water

    • Conscious Breathe

    • And a little side note of inspirational words or sayings. 

      • Ex. YOU ARE A BADASS, YOU ARE A GODDESS, YOU ARE LOVE YOU ARE LIGHT (included in the reminder).

  • When I feel triggered

    • I stop, breathe and remind myself of the beauty of this moment.

  • When I feel “Overwhelmed”

    • I change my language to “I’m in High Demand ;)!”

  • Express Gratitude 

    • At the end of the day, I find at least 3 things to be grateful for that day, and 1 thing to be energized about for the following day!

      • It’s so important to feed your mind with uplifting thoughts as its just before bed that your conscious mind and subconscious mind trade places  - meaning your subconscious mind takes over - what are you feeding it?

  • Surround yourself with beautiful, like-minded, high energy people

    • Find your tribe!

      • If you need one, reach out, or join a group you feel called to.

WHAT I DON’T DO/or LIMIT:

  • Watch the News (or TV really)

  • Give the monkey brain or the Chihuahua more mental space aka FEAR.

  • Heavy metal foods  (Tuna, Swordfish) - Mercury poisoning is the REAL deal friends!

  • Drink alcohol (limited basis) - this slows down the brain as expected, pollutes our body with toxins so we end up with brain fog.

    • If I do consume alcohol, I make sure to take the proper supplementation to detoxify from my body quickly.

  • Allow things outside of my control, bring me down.

    • I  own and take responsibility for how I choose to show up, each and every moment. We get to choose! How cool is that?

SPIRIT

Practice gratitude throughout each day. Find time to spend in silence to connect to God/Spirit/Source/Universe.

Oh, I also have some magical Angels & Ancestor cards that always come through in the clutch when I’m feeling I need a little reinforcement.

The purpose of my life is to embody God’s love, grace and guidance even more, each day. Enjoy the beauty of each moment, and create magic for myself & others.

I came up with the Mission Statement at Date with Destiny 2018. Along with my mission statement, I practice my power virtues many times throughout the day (Incantations).
